What is a Memory Care Café?
A Memory Care Café is a support group for the caregivers and families of those with dementia. We meet once each month for a few hours at various locations in the community.
We open these events to all in the community who wish to make connections with others who are facing similar experiences as them. Most Memory Care Cafés feature a guest speaker who provides education on various topics related to dementia. All Memory Care Cafés have the same goal, however: to show guests that they are not alone.
Essentially, Memory Care Cafés are a place to talk with others who understand what you’re going through; a place to leave behind limitations and instead focus on strengths.
